Filled Doorstop, Embroidered Floral Fabric – One Available

A beautiful fabric doorstop made using John Lewis embroidered fabric, featuring an intricate floral design in soft blue, coral, blush and olive on a warm natural ground.

The stitched embroidery gives the fabric a wonderful texture, while the placement of the large decorative motif creates a striking focal point on the front.

The reverse is 100% blue linen, carefully chosen to complement the soft blue tones running through the embroidery. A natural jute carry handle adds another layer of texture and gives the doorstop its relaxed, country inspired finish.

Fully lined internally with calico, the doorstop is filled with sand for weight and fire-retardant hollowfibre filling for shape. At approximately 1.7kg, it has a substantial feel while remaining easy to move around using the small handle.

At Delane Home, I work with beautiful designer fabrics to create my cushions, lampshades and other home furnishings. I wanted to find a lovely way to make use of the smaller pieces left from cutting these designs, so they are transformed into a collection of coordinating home accessories.

From doorstops and draught excluders to fabric storage baskets, these smaller pieces allow more of each beautiful fabric to be enjoyed around the home.

As quantities depend on the fabric remaining from my larger pieces, many of these accessories are available in very small numbers or as one off pieces.
