Weighted William Morris Strawberry Thief Draught Excluder

Bring a beautiful finishing touch to your doorway with this handmade weighted draught excluder, made using William Morris Strawberry Thief cotton fabric in its wonderfully warm palette of soft pinks, greens, berry tones and natural neutrals.

The fabric has been carefully positioned across the front to make the most of the iconic Strawberry Thief design, with the birds and trailing foliage creating a lovely decorative feature along the length of the draught excluder.

The reverse is made from Clarke & Clarke fabric in a warm natural sand colour, chosen to complement the soft, earthy tones of the Strawberry Thief design.

Generously filled with fire-retardant hollowfibre, with sand added for weight, it has a lovely plump shape while weighing approximately 1kg to help it sit neatly in place along the bottom of a door.

Practical as well as decorative, it’s a lovely way to add pattern, warmth and traditional English character to a hallway, bedroom or living space.

Made from beautiful smaller pieces
At Delane Home, I work with beautiful designer fabrics to create my cushions, lampshades and other home furnishings. I wanted to find a lovely way to make use of the smaller pieces remaining after cutting these designs, so they are transformed into a growing collection of coordinating home accessories.

From draught excluders and doorstops to fabric storage baskets, these smaller pieces allow more of each beautiful fabric to be enjoyed around the home.

Quantities depend on the fabric available from my larger pieces, so many of these accessories are made in small numbers, with some being completely one of a kind.
